MOONDANCE
Chants
We are the Cantos, the singing sisters of the moon committed to learning the most beautiful songs for Mother Earth, Mother Moon and all the forces of nature to raise in prayer during the four nights of the Moon Dance Ceremony.
We are the guardians of the Sacred Mother Drum, called Huehuetl, which represents the heartbeat of Mother Earth and is placed in the center of the dance circle during dance nights.
Nurturing the circle
Our Cantos group has grown steadily since we began our first moon dance ceremony and continues to grow with the love and devotion of many sisters who feel called to be part of the Cantos group. We meet for several weekends throughout the year to learn sacred songs from all the tribes and languages of the Earth.
The base of our group is four *Palabras/Leaders*sisters committed to hold the cantos lineage and nurturing the circle with sacred, beautiful songs.
How to be in chants circle?
Dear Sister, if you feel the call to be in cantos, to learn, and to lift your spirit in the service of the Moon Dance Ceremony, please contact us:
moondanceaustria@gmail.com Reference: CANTOS
Every year we receive new sisters in the cantos circle. From the beginning of October to the end of November you can apply, then in December we start our studies. Only sisters from second year can enter Cantos.
Song Book
The songs are the life of the circle. They are the breath, the sound, the prayer; a medium between several dimensions. They are a way to travel through the transitions and a way to process and receive messages. We sing in English, German, Spanish and Nahuatl. We honor the songs from many cultures, traditions and medicine circles
Soundcloud Channel
