This writing is to remind all dancers of the importance of silence during our moon dance prayer.
In silence a connection to our inner voice is created and we can observe more deeply what we come to heal, purify, transform and renew.
Silence provides a space for introspection and self-knowledge. It allows us to reflect on thoughts, emotions, and our relationships. It allows us to rest our minds and recover from the overload of information and constant stimuli in today’s life.
Silence gives us time and life. Health and gentleness.
We ask and remind you to RESPECT as much as possible the silence in the dance.
We know that the word is also healing and that it has been a year without seeing fellow dancers that we want to hear and share that love for all of them and that these relationships are vital and are wonderful gifts of this path. We know how important it is to share the word with our sisters.
We only ask that you find places away from the camp or around the circle and with a low tone of voice you can do this loving sharing. Always be aware of the other sisters and their processes.
We ask that if you are going to speak, please do it in a very low tone of voice, and remember that there are many sisters who need that deep silence and that many need rest and sometimes they are sleeping during the day and that sleep is so important and restorative that we ask to be RESPECTED.
It is not allowed to shout in the camps or sing or play instruments during the dance in the camp area, as it is a common place that prioritizes silence and introspection.
Please remember that we all pray and that our circle is an act of conscience and community in respect, peace and harmony.
We ask all dancers to try to be conscious of this communal Silence and that the word is used to share in a respectful and loving way
