PROGRAMME
The Ceremony
The Moon Dance is an ancient ceremony in which women from all ages, lands, beliefs, religions gather. We fast and dance in a ceremonial circle for four days and nights, praying for humanity and honoring nature, to feel the feminine essence amplified within.
We come together to heal their bodies and wombs and to cleanse generations of oppression and neglect. We receive the medicine of the sweatlodge to purify and rebirth. We dance to the rhythm of the ancient chants and medicine songs forming sacred movements according to the directions of the universe, with the elements and around the great mother drum. We honour this ancient tradition that is being revived all over the world.
Our circle is conformed by: Grandmothers of the Circle (two grandmothers Xiuhcoatl & Ameyaltzin), Heads of the rows of dancers, Sahumeadoras Woman (Guardians of the Holy Fire), Earth women (carriers of the Earth element ), Water women (carriers of the water element), Air women (carriers of the air element), Dancers, Singers, Firemen, Watermen, Kitchen Team, Childcare, Support and Security Guards (Earth Keepers)
